Trekking to the Lares Valley

ITINERARY:

DAY 1:

• Pick up from the hotel 8:00 A.M, in private bus . Transfer to the Huaran locality, situated in the Sacred Valley in the Calca province. Here starts our trek. After a 4 hours walk we will arrive to the Cancha - Cancha village (3800 masl ) here we will camp.

DAY 2:

• After breakfast we will go on by the northeast of the Valley. We will pass the first Pachacutec's abra ( 4458 masl ) then we will observe the small Pachacutec lake, from here we will be able to observe the Pitusiray snowcovered as well as some birds species. We will Stara the descend to the Valley, arriving to the Quisuarani village ( 3700 masl ) to observe beautifull Waterfalls. Camping in the very same place.

DAY 3:

• Breakfast, after this we will pass the seconde Huillquijasa abra (4200 masl) in this place we will see small lakes as well as beautiful Villas then we will arrive to the Cuncani Villa (3750 masl) in the he Core of the Valley, at half tour from the passage, where we will camp.

DAY 4:

• After breakfast we will start a 3 hours walk to arrive to the Lares village, where we will visit the Hotsprings. After this visit we will go towards the Choque Cancha Villa, situated at 3200 masl, where we will camp.

DAY 5:

• After breakfast we will visit the Choque Cancha community, in this place we will apreciate the Alpaca wool textiles , the habits of the villagers and when we are lucky we will be able to apreciate the Condor flight . We will camp here .

DAY 6:

• This day we will walk towards a small town in Paucarpata where the bus will wait for us for going back to Cusco city, approx. A 4 hours trip.
