Trek to Choquequirao 05 days / 04 nights

FIRST DAY.- CUSCO - CACHORA - CHIQUISCA

• Pick up of the passengers from the hotel , then we will go to the Cusco city towards Cachora community passing by the Izcuchaca, Tarawuasi and Limatambo communities, then we will go pass by the Cunyac bridge that joins Cusco and Apurimac departments, then we will arrive to the Curahuasi district (World capital of the Anise ), getting into the Cachora community , where we will meet our porters , there we will initiate our walk to the Chiquisca zone where we will appreciate the depth of the Apurimac canyon, there we will camp.

SECOND DAY.- CHIQUISCA - PLAYA ROSALINDA - SANTA ROSA

• After breakfast we will start our trek. We will begin with an endless zig-zag, there we will be able to appreciate the vegetation of the Sierra (mountain range ) and Jungle of Peru. If we are lucky enough we will be able to appreciate pumas, bears with glasses, tarantulas ( giant spiders of the jungle) and many other animal species. The ascent will go on till we will achieve to see faraway the Apurimac river, arriving to Santa Rosa and Rosaspata we will be able to appreciate the artisan preparation of the Cañazo. Dinner and camp here. .

THIRD DAY.- SANTA ROSA - CHOQUEQUIRAO

• Breakfast. This journey is difficult because it is about ascending to the Archaeological group. We will be able to appreciate the snow-covered of the Ampay park. We will observe also the nearby hill where the archaeological rests of Choquequirao (golden craddle) are found, rests that are considered as the last Inca refuge before the Spanish conquer. We will go by the andean terraces that has a unique and perfect struture, stablishing our camp inside of the Archaeological complex. We will have a guided visit. This zone is very rich in flora and birds given that it is a tropical zone. We will have the opportunity of observing the majestic king of the airs, THE CONDOR, that overflies our heads.

FOURTH DAY.- CHOQUEQUIRAO - CHIQUISCA

• We will have breakfast very early , then we will descend to the Apurimac Valley and then we will ascend to the Chiquisa Camp. Dinner and Camp there.

FIFTH DAY.- CHIQUISCA - CACHORA - CUSCO

• Breakfast, walk to the Cachora village place in whihc we will be able to appreciate the impressive Salkantay snow-covered. We will be going back to the Cusco city at about 19:00 hours.
