Trekking to the Colca Canyon

ITINERARY

FIRST DAY :

Condor
  • Departure from Arequipa city at 02.00 AM. Arrival to Chivay at 06.00 am.Continental breakfast, visit to the Condor's Cross, Tapay view point, descent to the Colca Canyon, visit to the very typical and peasant villages of LLAHUAR. Lunch, dinner and overnight in houses of the villagers or camping.

SECOND DAY:

  • Breakfast. Departure at about 06.00 am. Visit to the LLATICA villages. Arrival to the FURE town, on the way we will enjoy and interesting and interpretative tour observing the flora and fauna of the zone, lunch, rest, dinner and overnight in peasant huts or camping.

THIRD DAY:

  • Breakfast. Departure from FURE at 07.00 AM and descent to the SANGALLE Valley while appreciating the wild vegetation, lunch, refreshing bath in a natural swimming pool. Dinner and overnight.

FOURTH DAY :

  • Breakfast , departure from Sangalle at 05.00 AM and ascent to the Cabanaconde village. Return on the very same path.Lunch at Chivay, visit to the Andes view point ( highest point ) 4,910 (GPS) m.a.s.l. Arrival to Arequipa city at 17.00 hrs.
